DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN error
The browser asked DNS for that address's IP number and got back "this name does not exist." It differs from a site being down: here, the address was never even located.
Common causes
- A typo in the address.
- A domain that expired or never existed.
- The domain's DNS settings have not propagated yet (newly registered or recently moved to a new server).
- Stale DNS cache on the computer or router.
What to do
- Double-check the address carefully, no stray spaces or swapped letters.
- Flush your computer's DNS cache (on Windows: `ipconfig /flushdns` in Command Prompt).
- Test on another network or mobile data, to see if the issue is local.
